Cisco Launches Linux Powered N-router With Media Sharing Functionality
Cisco(R) announced a new Linux powered router, the Linksys by Cisco Wireless-N Broadband Router with Storage Link (WRT160NL). The new model complements the existing Linksys by Cisco consumer router line-up and is essentially the next generation of the popular WRT54GL. The design of the product is similar to other Linksys by Cisco N-routers, but has integrated connectors for external antennae.
Consumers that prefer external aerials can now enjoy the new Linksys by Cisco router design because of the integrated R-SMA antenna connectors. The integrated Storage Link functionality lets consumers connect their USB storage device to the router to create a powerful media sharing solution that enables video, photo and music sharing through the integrated media server.

T-Mobile Hungary Deploys Cisco's Content Services Gateway
T-Mobile Hungary reportedly has deployed Cisco’s content services gateway – a second-generation solution to offer dynamically personalized mobile applications across its network.
Cisco (News - Alert) officials said that the CSG2 solution is based on service and application module for IP line card for the Cisco 7600 Series Router and provides advanced processing of Internet Protocol flows for content-aware billing, filtering, management and analysis in a highly-scalable, fault-tolerant package.
Officials claimed that the Cisco CSG2 solution offers a flexible, scalable and reliable service personalization and monetization solution and is deployed globally by top-tier mobile Internet service providers.
The CSG2’s features include parental controls, as well as flexible billing options adapted to applications. This enables the differentiated pricing of services based on quantity, time, number of bytes downloaded and other parameters.
The project was designed and implemented by the Cisco advanced services team in collaboration with KFKI, a Cisco Gold certified partner and a subsidiary of Magyar Telekom.
Istvan Maradi, chief technology officer of Magyar Telekom, said that in addition to residential use, mobile broadband services are ideal for various business and vertical applications.
